Working through sub-contractors, Mainstream Renewable Energy and PowerChina Maanda JV aim to use this solar project to create economic development opportunities for businesses located within the Ngwathe Local Municipality. Accordingly, a high-level assessment was conducted to identify the goods and services to be sourced from Ngwathe Local Municipality.

- Security services (registered companies only with armed response)
- Transportation of employees (Registered, insured & roadworthy)
- Small concrete works like culvert headwalls, concrete drains, general small concrete works.
- General construction works like gabions, culverts, cattle grid installation, building of wheel washing facilities
- Toilet Hire & servicing of toilets (with registered place of disposal)
- Plant Hire
